About The Speaker
After receiving his BA in Political Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Josh McCurn and his wife Paige met, fell in love and established roots in Lexington. Proud to call Lexington and the 2nd district their home, they could not picture a better place to live, raise their two boys, Adam and Chase; and their three dogs, Gracie, Lexington (Lexi) and Beethoven (Toben). Their oldest son attends Meadowthorpe Elementary School, where Josh enjoys volunteering and is involved with in PTA. For several seasons now, he has mentored and coached with the Lexington Youth Soccer Association. As the former president of the McConnell’s Trace Neighborhood Association, he was involved with several committees that focused on public safety, unifying the neighborhood, and increasing communication. Josh currently serves on Planning and Public Safety Committee, Environmental Quality and Public Works Committee, and Masterson Station Parks Advisory Board.
From a young age, Josh has exuded a passion for community involvement. He has always worked to be actively involved and to make a difference within his community. This passion is what led him to seek the position of Councilmember for District 2, to work together with the neighbors of Lexington as well as focus on their needs and the needs of our community’s future.
Josh brings a youthful energy to all that he does, which he believes will be beneficial to the Council. His focus is to work together with the citizens and all communities of Lexington’s 2nd District to tackle problems and be a part of making Lexington an even better place to work, live and raise a family.
