Brandi Peacher is the Director of Project Management in the Office of the Mayor with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. Following her undergraduate architecture studies at the University of Kentucky, Peacher began her design career in Chicago where she worked on affordable housing, university housing, and the world’s largest mall in Dubai with international architecture firm VOA Associates. After some time away, she later returned to Lexington to obtain her Master’s in Architecture at UK and to find a great fit for her passion for the community at the Lexington Downtown Development Authority. As a Project Manager at the LDDA she worked on a variety of planning, urban design, and development projects, including the Design Competition and Feasibility Study for the Town Branch Commons.
Today Peacher oversees the group of projects under the Town Branch Commons umbrella. Her primary focus is on the implementation of Town Branch Commons, a publicly-funded 3.2 mile walking, jogging, and cycling trail. This signature project will link downtown parks into a cohesive system and provide the missing link creating 22 miles of continuous trails weaving throughout our iconic Bluegrass countryside.
